Airmail has the capability of creating multiple customized rules to suit any incoming or outbound filtering scenario. Basically, the rules in Airmail work similar to the rules in any other email client, using a series of IF/THEN options which can be tailored to suit your specific needs.
There are several possible rules that can be created by you to suit your needs, therefore, each part of the rules window is explained in the following article.
Rules are located in 'Menu Bar > Window > Rules' as depicted in the following image.
After opening the Rules, you will get the following window,
All the numbered boxes in the above image are explained below.
Box #1
This box is the list of the rules that you have made in Airmail and each rule shows, whether it is Enabled/Disabled and saved to iCloud.

Here you can add/remove the rules in Airmail.

Here you can name your current selected rule from the list.

To ensure that a rule is working/active in real time, it should be enabled, otherwise disabled. and '
Sync iCloud
To enssync it with other Mac devices using Airmail.

Combination #1: 'All Incoming'
This states that all the parameters which are set in box #6 from the above picture, should be true for the incoming messages to activate the 'THEN' condition, otherwise, the rule will return 'Zero' results.
Combination #2: 'All Outgoing'
This states that all the parameters which are set in box #6 from the above picture, should be true for the outgoing messages to activate the 'THEN' condition, otherwise, the rule will return 'Zero' results.
Combination #3: 'Any Incoming'
This states that any of the parameters which are set in box #6 from the above picture, should be true for the incoming messages to activate the 'THEN' condition, otherwise, the rule will return 'Zero' results.
Combination #4: 'Any Outgoing'
This states that all the parameters which are set in box #6 from the above picture, should be true for the outgoing messages to activate the 'THEN' condition, otherwise, the rule will return 'Zero' results.

Box #8
Here you can 'Reset' the rule which will dismiss all the changes you have made to the rule to the default values, so that you can rebuild the rule if needed.

You can see the preview of the messages that lie in the set 'IF' conditions and choose if you want to apply the rule to the previous messages (the messages which are already present in the database of the account). Please refer to the picture below to see the preview window.
